1. Can My Thyroid Affect My Fertility?

Thyroid disorders are among the most common endocrine conditions affecting women of reproductive age and may influence fertility. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), and Hashimoto's thyroiditis can all affect hormone balance, the menstrual cycle, and reproductive function. At the Hormone and Thyroid Center, we carefully evaluate your thyroid function. This includes assessing thyroid hormone levels, thyroid antibodies, and existing thyroid conditions such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, or hyperthyroidism. Before fertility treatment, we also check whether your thyroid function is optimally controlled. Every assessment is tailored to your individual situation and takes into account your symptoms, laboratory findings, medical history, and any planned or ongoing fertility treatment.

2. When Is a Hormonal Evaluation Recommended for Fertility Concerns?

A hormonal evaluation may be recommended if pregnancy has not occurred despite regular unprotected intercourse over an extended period. 6. What Does an Elevated TSH Level Mean?
