Diagnostics and treatment of hormonal disorders and diseases of the hormone-forming glands

Hormonal disorders are the cause of involuntary childlessness in 30 to 40% of cases. Whether you have such a disorder, we examine in our private practice for endocrinology. Here we deal with the diagnosis and treatment of hormone disorders and diseases of the endocrine organs (hormone-producing glands). Endocrinology is a focus of internal medicine. It is also a subfield of other subjects, such as gynaecology with a focus on gynaecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine.

Restoring hormonal balance

We carry out all important hormone analyses and develop individual therapy concepts to restore hormonal balance. Possible causes of disorders include: diseases of the thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, bone metabolism, parathyroid glands, endocrine pancreas or neuroendocrine tumours.

Possible causes of countless disorders and illnesses

Since hormones are involved in controlling so many processes and can exert their effects in virtually every organ of the body, there is hardly any area of medicine that is not affected by them. Accordingly, endocrinology deals with a wide range of clinical pictures. Some of these are common diseases such as osteoporosis (a disease of the skeleton characterised by a reduction in bone mass and an increased risk of bone fractures) or diabetes mellitus (a disease characterised by elevated blood sugar levels), but there are also many rare to very rare clinical pictures. The symptoms caused by hormonal disorders can be very unspecific and may be difficult to attribute to a particular disease.
