Is artificial insemination possible for unmarried couple?

Yes. Subject to certain conditions

The in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection Spermieninektion?? (ICSI) is also possible for unmarried couples. However, neither of the partners may be married to someone else.

Professional legal situation

Since 2010, an application to the Ethics Committee of the Medical Council has no longer been required. However, the professional code calls for a notarial Beurkung? documentation? before performing the IVF-ICSI procedure.t We can, of course, help you with this.

Reimbursement of treatment costs

The statutory health insurance does not currently accept the cost of treatment if the couple is not married under any circumstances - not even pro rata. This applies to intrauterine insemination, IVF, IVF/ICSI. With private health insurance, some companies may reimburse the costs of treatment in full if a notarisation is present.

We intentionally do not go into the reimbursement of treatment costs for "mixed" insured couples (statutory and privately insured) since this can result in very different and sometimes still unexplained constellations.
