Prerequisites for the success of therapy

Age statistically significantly affects pregnancy, miscarriage and birth rates.

A crucial prognostic factor for the success of therapy is above all the woman's age. This is related to the limited ovarian reserve. While the man's sperm cell formation (mitosis) is maintained for many years, the egg cell formation is already suspended in female foetuses in the 20th week of pregnancy. A continuous loss of egg cells (apoptosis) follows and from about the 30th year of life, egg quality is reduced, in particular through variable chromosome anomalies.

Age statistically significantly affects pregnancy, miscarriage and birth rates. From the age of 30, the pregnancy and birth rates generally decrease, the rate of miscarriage, however, increases significantly.
